Following a successful procurement process for a major government contract, one of the UK’s foremost managed service providers of cloud-based infrastructure and IT consultancy services required additional project and ongoing resource to deliver against targeted SLAs for the initial implementation and ongoing management of service contracts.
The project required a resource partner to locate a broad range of project-specific skillsets on a national basis for both permanent and contract roles, working on-site with Heads of Project to deliver a responsive, ‘simple’ and scalable solution in line with end-user expectations.
Attending client briefings to fully understand their resource requirements and offering solutions that avoided time lags, GR’s expert consultant was on hand from planning to completion providing flexible resource to support strict SLAs in multiple locations ensuring every aspect of the project ran smoothly.
Over the initial 12-month roll-out phase to service the new contract, GR worked in partnership following MSP programme management methodology to supply 17 permanent hires covering Projects, PMOs, Heads of Department – including Sales and Technical – through to 1st/2nd/3rd line engineers and project support, and a small base of contractors.
GR ensured the resource was in place to deliver the government contract on time as per agreed SLAs and was instrumental in delivering value-added consultancy that streamlined processes, proactively tackling potential problems before they arose. Working closely with project managers allowed GR to build a pipeline of talent and respond quickly to changes in the scope and complexity of the project roll-out.
GR’s partnership model and dedicated resource helped to build the infrastructure necessary for their client to go on to win further contracts.
Responding to individual client needs as a dedicated solutions-provider is what GR does best
