The Manchester College has many Campus locations across Greater Manchester, each with its own specialist cutting-edge facilities within a friendly and supportive environment. We are the largest Further Education College in the UK providing education and training to a wide range of learners.
We now have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Business Manager (Nurseries) on a fixed term (Maternity Cover), full time (37 hours per week) basis.
Your role is Strategic lead for all aspects of the business operation of the Nursery. Under the direction of the Nursery Manager to lead on developing a robust business plan for the nurseries. To ensure that the nursery delivers the agreed financial targets and budgets. To lead on health & safety, legal compliance, marketing and admin and business related processes. To plan and execute an efficient utilisation of the nursery places and ensure that funding per child is maximised. To act as a designated safeguarding person and to deputise for the Nursery Manager as lead Designated Safeguarding Manager when required. To manage and administrate the business functions of the nurseries.
In order to do this, you will need:
Business/Management qualification to at least level 3 (willingness to work towards)
Safeguarding training
Maths and English Level 2 (or equivalent)
Experience of dealing with safeguarding issues
Demonstrable experience of managing large budgets (£!M+)
