An exciting new opportunity has arisen at our HQ ‘Cornerstone’ within the Environmental Service for a full time Facilities Officer.
The Facilities Officer will have a flexible approach to their work. Responsible for keeping Cornerstone clean, safe and secure for staff, visitors and customers before and following core office hours whilst also assisting with the co-ordination of organised and efficient office facilities during the working day.
Cornerstone is a modern purpose-built office and the home of the Stockport Homes Group. The offices provide a range of facilities for staff, customers, visitors and people within the Borough.
Working alongside colleagues across the organisation, the Facilities Officer will ensure the upkeep of the building is maintained to an exceptional level. The successful candidate will be responsible for their work programme, manage a cleaning team, prioritising their time and resources effectively and have excellent communication.
The Facilities Officer will be creative and innovative, ensuring standards of service are maintained to the highest standards and be proactive in seeking ways to improve the service. They must deliver an excellent level of Customer Service at all times, even when faced with challenging behaviours and communicate effectively with their manager and colleagues to ensure all work is completed and, where necessary, to solve problems as they arise. Working pro-actively on areas which require the most intensive cleaning, you must be flexible and open to change, supporting our team’s vision to grow.
You must also complete any training required to carry out the job safely, protecting both yourself and others around you and be responsible for maintaining adequate stock levels so all cleaning and maintenance tasks can be carried out efficiently and effectively.. As a team of two facilities officers, you’ll work shift patterns to cover the requirement of the service, (e.g. alternating between 6am – 2pm or a 12noon – 8pm. Previous experience of working in a facilities team or caretaking role is desirable but not essential, as all relevant training is given.
