MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
A vacancy has arisen for a timed served multi-skilled Technician to work on plant & equipment throughout Stockport NHS Foundation Trust premises.
The post holder will have primary operational responsibility for decontamination equipment, testing and validation. The post holder will also act as Team Leader and offer technical support, advice and guidance to colleagues and contractors as required.
There is also a requirement to work overtime, rostered and ad hoc.
Along with a recognised apprenticeship in a mechanical discipline, and a minimum of City & Guilds qualifications, a City & Guilds qualification to BSEN:285 in “large porous load sterilizers quarterly testing” and experience and knowledge of decontamination equipment, steam raising plant, pressure systems, and safe systems of work would be a distinct advantage.
The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual with good communication skills, and possess the ability to work on their own initiative.

If successful this vacancy will require a Standard DBS check at a cost of £26.50. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary
In addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £13.
