Modern Work Place Consultant – Desktop, Group Policy, Active Directory, InTune, Windows 10, Office365 – Hybrid with Client Engagement and visits.
My client is an expanding Cloud based Managed Service Provider of IT Solutions. Due to an expanding client base they require an Modern Workplace Consultant / Systems Engineer to join the support services team
Role
- Provide support and proactive maintenance applications (patching, updating, deploying)
- Support 3rd Party software that integrates into the Worksite DMS and other tools
- Manage and maintain MDM (Mobile Device Management) and SCCM (System Centre Configuration Manager) platforms and services
- Manage and maintain Group Policy
- Troubleshoot and fix Software application related issues
- Provide 3rd Line Support to the Helpdesk Team
- Escalation of incidents to suppliers – building long-term service relations with suppliers
- Advising and training the service desk to independently support applications support shift left priorities
- Independently undertake projects to upgrade systems provided by 3rd Parties
- Manage and maintain the portfolio of Applications and Software updates via SCCM
- Maintain Desktop Image Testing and release cycles ensuring that the firm is protected from threats
- Frequent vendor updates are prepared for and managed appropriately
Profile
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft technologies such as Office 365 and Windows 10
- Good working knowledge of Group Policy
- Experience of working with Active Directory
- Indepth Knowledge of SCCM and Microsoft InTune
- Managed Service Experience
- Good team-working, organisational and time management skills
- An understanding of ITIL is preferable
- Ability to communicate effectively – both over the phone and face-to-face, within the team and with customers – having a collaborative and open approach is important
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines
Strong people skills are also a must as this role will have direct end client contact. This role will be home based with occasional need to visit client site.
