Ward Clerk
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Ward Clerk to join the Inpatient Surgical Ward at Stepping Hill Hospital. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic person to join our team.
Ward D5 has 22 beds which include 4 spacious side rooms. Along with other members of the front office team, ward clerks play an important role in the overall efficiency of a healthcare facility.
The responsibilities will include, checking patients in and out, creating, organising and updating patient records, filing patient paperwork, coordinating patient assignments with nurses and doctors and answering the phone.
The post holder should have an attitude based on strong values, an overall commitment to provide patients and their families with care that is first and foremost based on a culture of compassion, professionalism and respect.
The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and promote safeguarding by implementing the Trust’s policies and procedures, acting promptly on concerns, communicating effectively and sharing information appropriately.
If successful, this vacancy will require an standard DBS check at a cost of £26.50. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary. In addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £13.
