Coaching Academy

Based at Stepping Hill Hospital, the opportunity has arisen, within the busy Procurement Department at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust for a Materials Management Assistant, 30 hours per week. The successful candidate will be providing a Materials Management service to wards, theatres and other clinical areas at Stepping Hill Hospital and Community Sites.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the prompt and accurate electronic replenishment and physical put away of stocks, ensuring the processing and expediting of requisitions and electronic data capture orders in accordance with user requirements and appropriate Procurement procedures.
We aim to deliver a first class service and you will need the following skills to add value to the team:
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff from all levels
- Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
- Identifying customers needs
- Collate, input and analyse a wide variety of data
- Good IT skills, using Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook etc.
- Excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills
- Good attention to detail and a methodical approach
Experience of working in a busy procurement/supply chain environment would be an advantage.
A friendly and sociable outlook is essential with the ability to work flexibly in order to meet deadlines. The post requires a professional, motivated and enthusiastic approach to the role, and a ‘can do’ attitude is essential.
Training will be provided on all aspects of the job where required.
