Rough Sleeper Outreach Worker
Foundations was set up in 2019 as a charitable arm of The Stockport Homes Group and are now looking to recruit Rough Sleeper Outreach Workers to be responsible for initiatives to tackle poverty with the main focus being the operation and development within Stockport and beyond through a franchising scheme.

Working across Stockport and Trafford, you will engage with people who are rough sleeping to develop positive housing and support plans, building upon people’s strengths and personal goals. Developing relationships with partner agencies and co-ordinating interventions with rough sleepers, you will motivate people to take positive measures to address issues underpinning their homelessness.
With a resilient and motivational approach, you will need to work flexibly, often outside of usual office hours to locate and maintain relationships with people.
Partnership working is central to the success of the role, with the RSOW able to advocate in an assertive, but tactful way with a range of agencies. The drive and determination to enable people to access accommodation and positively transform their lives is at the heart of this role.
Candidates should have an understanding of homelessness and related issues, with a commitment to addressing rough sleeping.
