An exciting volunteering opportunity to gain retail experience has just landed at Mencap in Congleton.
Having closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, we are preparing to reopen on Friday 10th July and are looking for a team of volunteers to help run the store. Roles include serving customers on the till, taking donations, welcoming customers to the store and sorting/pricing stock.
The store has been fitted with protective screens at the till and we have PPE such as gloves, masks and aprons available for all volunteers. We also have access to sanitising gel for customers and volunteers and plenty of social distancing guidelines in store.
If you are friendly and enjoy being with different types of people then this would be a great volunteer role for you. We'd love to welcome you to the team, where you will be helping us to fulfill our vision of creating a world where people with a learning disability are valued equally, listened to and included.
Typical tasks will include providing excellent customer service at all times, receiving and sorting donations from the public, serving customers at the till, replenishing stock and signing up new Gift Aid donors.
