Work With Us Co-ordinator
Location: Signpost Stockport for Carers, Adult Carer Support team.
Salary: Up to £26,000 per annum dependant on experience
Working Pattern: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm (some out of hours may be required)
Working Hours: 37 hours per week – applications for job share will be considered
Contract Type: 3 year contract
Closing date: Monday 29th June
Interview Date: Week commencing 6th July
Thanks to funding from the Big Lottery Community Foundation, Signpost is launching our ‘Work with Us’ project. This exciting project aims to support carers who are juggling paid employment with a caring role , increasing understanding of, and support for, carers in the workplace. It is something that is really is needed and the successful candidate will have a real opportunity to make a difference!
The Coordinator will work with employers to support carers in the workplace as well as establishing peer support groups and conducting carers assessments. As such, this role requires someone that has an excellent understanding of what life can be like as a carer. We are looking for someone with experience of working with and within the private sector. An awareness of employment law, HR policy and procedures that enable engagement between employers and carers would be advantageous.
